One of the goals of Sawayra is to provide mentorship to young engineers and professionals. We have an internship program where we hire university students and place them under the supervision of accomplished professionals. In past, we have had five interns from the University of Houston and thirteen interns from NED in Karachi working on projects.
This is a tremendous development opportunity for the interns, teaching them about sustainable living, and also promoting the use of technology to alleviate suffering. And while our internships are unpaid, we try to organize field visits, meetings with vendors, working with hospitals and labs to help the interns gain valuable experience.
