Background
Sawayra has open internships positions for ongoing projects for university students with backgrounds in Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Studies, Web Development and Social Media.
An internship at Sawayra provides hands-on experience with renewable energy projects, as well as developing local, sustainable solutions for basic necessities. We also provide recommendation letters to interns on a selective basic, as well as issue certificates at the completion of the internship. Most internships require a minimum one year commitment. Some interns continue to work with Sawayra after graduation, as part of our worldwide network of Professional Volunteers.

Select Intern Profiles
Rais Badshah is a sophomore Electrical Engineering student at NED University. Rais is not only a NED Scholar, a scholarship fund supporting the most needy students with incredible academic promise, but also a Sawayra Intern getting hands on exposure to engineering design in our Home Solar Team.
“Rais. Rais is from FATA and his family was displaced during the army operation in the northern areas. His family moved to Karachi and his father started working as a ‘chokidar’ before he has a stroke and got paralyzed. Rais, the eldest son, started working at English Biscuit during their night shifts and was saving money to get admission at NED University.” (Dr. Sohail Ahmed, Sawayra Advisor)
We are proud to partner with NED Scholars to find students such as Rais who not only deserve the best education Pakistan has to offer, but practical experience and internship opportunities to further their academic pursuits.
